Welcome to The Path To Mindset Mastery! My name is Brad Bizjack! Quick story: When I was starting out, I remember wanting success SO bad… wanting to be debt-free SO bad… wanting all this financial freedom SO bad… but on the inside (what I truly wanted) was to just feel like I was enough.

So, I tried to create an online business, but everything I tried seemed to be working for other people, but it wasn't working for me. It seemed like they had it easier. They had the missing ingredient. I remember getting burned out from that so much so that I'd be sitting on the couch, 11:00 PM knowing I needed to go to bed (so I could do my morning routine the next day), but instead I'm binge eating nachos at 11 pm. I’d be watching Friends and feeling sorry for myself…

Have you ever had that feeling of knowing exactly what you need to do, but you're not able to get yourself to do it?!

You just want to get out of your own way. You know you're meant for greatness, but you can’t get out of your own way! That's where I was and I wanted life to change SO bad and at the time, I was reading a book called Success Principles by Jack Canfield. (Highly recommend this book!!)

One of the chapters blew my mind and it was about the topic of “Responsibility”.

“If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings—everything! This is not easy.

In fact, most of us have been conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our life we don’t like. We blame our parents, our bosses, our friends, our co-workers, our clients, our spouse, the weather, the economy, our astrological chart, our lack of money—anyone or anything we can pin the blame on. We never want to look at where the real problem is—ourselves.

If you want to create the life of your dreams, then you are going to have to take 100% responsibility for your life as well. That means giving up all your excuses, all your victim stories, all the reasons why you can’t and why you haven’t up until now, and all your blaming of outside circumstances. You have to give them all up forever.”

I needed to find a way to pay off my debt. I needed a way to build a successful online business. I needed a way to create the future I’d always dream of for my family and the answer was by taking responsibility.

Once I did that… EVERYTHING changed!!

My business exploded!

I was more peaceful in my personal life!

I had more financial freedom and happiness!

I want you to ask yourself, “Have you ever taken a look in your life and felt that it's harder in some ways and other people don't get it?!”

If your answer is YES, that’s okay! But it’s also a sign you’re not taking responsibility and we want to bounce back from that!

You get to design the future of YOUR choice. You are the author!

Question: What if I also said you were the designer of your past and present, too?

Do you feel resistance? If you’re going to take responsibility for your dreams, you also have to take responsibility for where you are right now in your life, too!

You can either have a ‘Victim Mindset’ Or a ‘100% Responsibility Mindset’…it’s your choice!

Remember: The World is happening FOR you, not to you!

We tend to catastrophize, make things worse than what they actually are, so we hold ourselves back because we have this belief that where we are isn't our fault. It lowers the potential of what's possible and when we have a lower potential, that means we're going to take less action (which also means less results!)

Victim mindsets are incredibly attractive. Why? Because victim mindsets give us a way out of facing our deepest fears. They give us a way out of taking responsibility for our lives. It's so attractive because we don't have to face the fear of not feeling like we're enough. Therefore, if we're not enough, we won't be loved. That's what we're actually afraid of! We all want to belong and be loved!

There are 3 ways people deal with suffering (most people choose the 1st way, but I want you to choose the 3rd!)

#1) Place Blame

“It’s not my fault…”

“I'm $92,000 in debt because my parents didn't save for my college education.

Blaming is a wonderful strategy in the short-term because it gives you a way out of facing your fears, but it is a really tough strategy to deal with in the long-term.

#2) Change Our Life Conditions

Let's say that you're unhappy with your body and you want to lose 50 pounds. You could literally lose 50 pounds today! You would have to cut off a few limbs (not the most effective strategy)…but you could do it!

It's not sustainable, but you could change your life conditions right now (if you want it to). In fact, if we ever complain about something, it's because we could do something about the situation, but we choose not to.

#3) Change Your Blueprint

Change your expectations.

Trade your expectations for appreciations and your life changes instantly! -Tony Robbins

If you choose to appreciate your existing circumstances (as they are) and love them (as they are), that's what gives you the freedom to move forward in your life!

It's not until you appreciate where you are right now and change your blueprint for how you think it should be that things start to change!

A good sign that you're starting to take responsibility for your life is when you're grateful for where you already are!

We need to take responsibility for everything in our lives, including the areas that we don't think are our fault. There's a very big difference between fault and responsibility. Even if something is not your fault, it is still your responsibility to deal with it… to handle the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and emotions that surround that thing.

Here's what I want you to do:

Take a look at the areas of your life:

Health
Finances
Business
Play/Fun
Emotions
Marriage

I want you to rate yourself on a scale 1 to 10 in each of these areas of your life!

(1- I take no responsibility, 10- I take 100% responsibility)

A good way to look at this is if you're consistently saying that you don't have results in your life because of ‘something’, it's a sign that you’re giving yourself a way out and that's not fair to you or your future.
